Salty Dog Cocktail Recipe

I love my new cheeky (he, he!) vintage swizzle stick. I found it on eBay after months of searching. What you can't see is the message stamped on the stick which says, "Bottoms Up!"—I'm obsessed.
Don't worry, you'll be seeing more of my saucy swizzle in plenty of cocktails. Here's a fun one for today: a Salty Dog! It's super simple: just gin, white grapefruit juice and a salted rim. I like to think this is a "skinny" cocktail—my Mama always told me grapefruit juice trims the waist. Whatever you believe, it's might tasty, so give it a try. Cheers!

SALTY DOG
MAKES: 1 drink

Kosher salt
Lime wedge, for the glass
4 ounces gin
7 ounces white grapefruit juice
Lime twist, for serving (optional)

Sprinkle kosher salt on a small plate. Rub the rim on a tall glass with the lime wedge, then press into the salt to coat. Fill the glass with ice. Shake the gin and grapefruit juice in a cocktail shaker with ice; strain into the prepared glass. Garnish with a lime twist, if desired.
