Hit The Bottle, Ladies: Sparkly Red Pimm's Cocktail (with Raspberries)!

/ Tuesday, June 4, 2013

Hey there, lovelies! How's your week going so far? Things have been super (super) busy in the test kitchen, so I figured a cocktail post was in order—you know, in case any of you are feeling similarly. I just wrote a drink post for the Good Housekeeping blog all about 5 Broadway-Inspired Cocktails To Serve During The Tony Awards, this coming weekend June 9th at eight o'clock pm EST. My favorite of the bunch: My Sparkly Red Pimm's, inspired by the high-heeled logo of the new musical Kinky Boots! It gets its sweet-tart flavor from Pimm's No. 1, lemon juice, champagne and raspberries. Make a pitcher of 'em asap! Here's how you do it...
SPARKLY RED PIMM'S
SERVES: 6

1 cup Pimm’s No. 1
1/2 cup gin
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons grenadine
4 cups champagne or sparkling wine
1 cup raspberries

Stir together the Pimm's, gin, lemon juice and grenadine in an ice-filled pitcher. Strain into chilled flutes; top with champagne and raspberries.

Psst! You can find the other Broadway-inspired cocktail recipes on the Good Housekeeping blog, if you're interested xo Erin

    1. Huzzah—what an honor! Thank you, Cupcakes & Cutlery :) LOVE Pimm's. One of my favorite restaurants in NYC (The Spotted Pig) makes the best Pimm's Cup ever. This cocktail is a little more fruity (and a lot more sparkly)! xox Erin
