/ Wednesday, December 12, 2018

Looking for an easy cake recipe? It doesn't get simpler than this! If you have 1 box cake mix and some lemonade in the fridge, you can have this gorgeous dessert on the table in under an hour. Here's how...

I'll get right to it! The full recipe's below. If you're interested, here's a video of how I tested and created this cake. My husband loved it so much that he asked for it on his birthday.

2-INGREDIENT LEMONADE CAKE
SERVES: 8-10

1 box vanilla or golden cake mix
1 (12 ounce) container lemonade
Optional: cream cheese, sour cream or creme fraiche & confectioners' sugar

1. Preheat the oven to 350˚F. Lightly grease a cake pan or baking dish.
2. Mix the cake mix and lemonade in a bowl until smooth with a few lumps. Bake as cake mix label directs or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
3. Remove from the oven and let cook in the pan on a rack.
4. If you'd like to add a topping, stir together cream cheese, sour cream or creme fraiche with confectioners' sugar to reach desired consistency / flavor! Spread over the cake.
