The Rainy Day Daiquiri

/ Wednesday, February 27, 2013

Geez is it nasty out in New York City, today—blek! I can't do anything about the weather but I can equip you with a sunny little cocktail to brighten up your day. Shake up this Rainy Day Daiquiri when you get home. Even if your socks are soaks you'll feel a better, promise!

RAINY DAY DAIQUIRI
MAKES: 1 drink

2 ounces light rum
1 ounce Elderflower liqueur (Saint Germain)
1 ounce fresh lemon juice
Lemon twist, for garnish

Put the rum, Elderflower liqueur and lemon juice in an ice-filled cocktail shaker; shake 30 seconds or until cold. Strain into a chilled coupe glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.

Sweet, tart and boozy—you can't ask for a better rainy-day remedy my lovely friends. Well, except for maybe your own gold cocktail shaker. How awesome would that be!? This gold Izola Cocktail Shaker is only $36, a manageable indulgence! If you really want to make today better, maybe snag one of these, too :) Enjoy (and cheers)! xo Erin
