Super-Easy Appetizer: Sweet-and-Spicy Pineapple!

/ Thursday, January 31, 2013

Good morning, lovely friends! I hope your week is shaping up to be fabulous. I'm really looking forward to Super Bowl weekend, how about you? Here's a quick little snack that's perfect for setting out during the game (or before a dinner date, at a cocktail party, etc.): Sweet-and-Spicy Pineapple cubes. I love these! Make a container of the spice mixture (as sweet and/or as spicy as you'd like!) and keep it in the pantry...

SPICY PINEAPPLE
SERVES: 6 to 8

Fine salt
Granulated or brown sugar
Chili powder
1 pineapple, cut into cubes

Whisk salt, sugar and chili powder in a bowl (play with the amounts until you reach the flavor you want—I change it up depending on if I want the chunks to be more sweet or more spicy). Roll pineapple cubes in the spice mixture and transfer to a platter or bowl. Set out toothpicks for easy grazing!
