Welcome back from the weekend! We went on a little trip to visit friends in Pennsylvania (they moved from
Brooklyn a few months ago). Their new place has a retro baby blue refrigerator,
wine cellar, guest barn and lots of green grass and cozy chairs to relax
on—perfect because I finally had the chance to sit down and read Sarah
Copeland's gorgeous cookbook.
Sarah and I worked together for a while at the magazine. She's exactly the woman you want to take advice from: graceful, happy, smart and remarkably talented. So even though her book, The Newlywed Cookbook, is intended for freshly committed couples, I think her tips on entertaining, and feeling fulfilled in the kitchen and in love, are helpful to anyone interested.
There's a bit about how she always keeps a cookie jar full of homemade treats for her family. It's such a simple gesture. I'm thinking I might get a cookie jar for our home, too (boyfriend really loves M&M cookies). What are your thoughts? A fresh batch every Monday? I'm way into this idea! But first, which cookie jar do you like best?
Horne $80
John Lewis $25
Crate & Barrel $25
Oh! Aida Mollenkamp actually has Sarah's Thousand Layer Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe on here website, here. I suggest giving it a once over—enjoy!
The Crate and Barrel jar is my favorite! Sarah rocks, so happy her books is out, this will be my new go-to wedding gift. Thanks for sharing :)
