Mama's Home Cookin': What To Feed A Homesick New Yorker!

I apologize for my recent absence. My mama came to Paris for another visit and we were quite occupied with other things. It was such a treat to have her back. The apartment is much nicer when there's someone here to share it with. Since this was her second trip to Paris, we were able to relax and eat in! Yes, it's true. My mom flew all the way from New York and to cater to my homesick stomach! I love her so much :) She arrived with a suitcase-full of goodies: beneath new sandals, boxes of Girl Scout cookies and extra stockings were three tiny baggies filled with pre-measured ingredients for my favorite homemade dish: Spaghetti and Meatballs. There were still a few things she needed to complete her recipe—eggs, ground pork, veal, beef—so mama scanned the foreign shelves of my french food store while I was in class. She couldn't find ground pork or the canned tomatoes she usually uses but dinner was absolutely delicious!
