Merry Minimalist: How-To Make A Simple Gingerbread House!

/ Thursday, December 13, 2012

Remember when I told you about my new favorite craft book, Craft-A-Day by Sarah Goldschadt? Well, I was clicking through Sarah's blog earlier this morning and came across her simple how-to instructions for making these gingerbread houses—how cute are they?!

Head over to her site to download the free printable template. I might make these for a holiday party this weekend but here's my question: Do you lovely friends think you could make a gingerbread house out of old-school cinnamon ornament dough? You know, equal parts cinnamon and applesauce; you knead it, roll it out and turn it into fabulous-smelling ornaments? I wonder if you can make a whole scented village with it! Thoughts?

Actually! Sweet Paul magazine just published Sarah's paper trees from the Craft-A-Day book. If you're feeling creative, take a peek at those as well :) Hope you all have a great day!
